More to this one than first glace provides

Plenty of games nowadays are re-releases, revamps, or reworks of titles that came out years ago. More often than not, we see plenty of games get completely overhauled top to bottom. Visuals, audio, and everything in-between is almost completely different from the source material. That is not the case at all with Pocky & Rocky Reshrined.

While Pocky & Rocky Reshrined may look and play extremely similarly to the SNES title released 30 years ago, there’s actually a lot of love, care, and attention put into this revamp. Digital Foundry digs in deep to show you just how much has changed under the surface with this beloved 2D franchise.

This looks soooo good. I loved playing the SNES version back in the day when I rented it from Blockbuster.

I wish more remakes / spiritual successors would take the same visual approach as Tengo Project here. It's like if major publishers had continued to push pixel art forward. The consistency is fantastic, even down to the UI. I much prefer this to Square's "HD-2D" for example.
