As excitement builds for Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase (10 AM ET today!), fans have been speculating about what might be showcased. While there’s sure to be surprises, there are a handful of games Switch owners are really eager for updates on. Out of all the titles discussed, it seems like Hollow Knight: Silksong might be the most requested.

While Team Cherry isn’t talking about the Indie World Showcase, they did share a message bout Hollow Knight: Silksong at the end of April 2022. In a very short acceptance message for winning the 2021 Unity Award for the most anticipated game, Team Cherry seemed to hint that Hollow Knight: Silksong isn’t too far off.

“We’re honored that Hollow Knight: Silksong won the 2021 Unity Award for the most anticipated game, and hugely appreciate all of the fans who support us as we work on the game. Thank you so much. We’re looking forward to the day we can share the game with you all. It can’t be too much longer, surely!

[Team Cherry]

It’s only been a couple of weeks since Team Cherry shared that message, and today’s Indie World Showcase really does seem like a perfect time to update fans on Hollow Knight: Silksong’s progress. Let’s keep all our fingers and toes tightly crossed for a few more hours to see if we can manifest an update!

Yep. That speech and then followed by the announcement of the Indie World Showcase today sure does sound like they're perfectly matched. It's been such a long wait for news on Silk Song, I hope it's in it. OR, maybe, would it be big enough to feature in Nintendo's own next Direct? It certainly is. Which would ordinarily be next month, though E3 is cancelled this year.

I dont know whats the hype for this game, i bought the first one on switch , played a bit and got bored, metroid dread is 100 x better than hollow knight

I think there are several facts people value. The game is huge, it's also very cheap for what it has, the combat while simple demands quick reflexes, the game can be as short or long depending on what you decide to do.

With all that said, I think it's not a very replayable game, IMO the last expansions were just too hard and not in a fun way, and the beginning while very atmospheric its very slow.

I wonder if the sequel will meet expectations since it's possible it'll be shorter considering the original game built over the initial release several times to end up as long as it became.
