This statement by the publisher just makes me believe other accounts of the situation even more.
If you're the publisher of the game, and your only comment about the game showing up on the e-shop fully released, then quickly removed, is 3 unrelated sentences strung together to try to imply what the delay is without making a statement either way (without ever addressing the fact the game was already on the e-shop), then chances are you're trying to cover up something shady.
And even worse, if that is the case, it means they're taking a global disaster affecting the entire world and trying to use it as an excuse to cover up for their own inadequacy. That would be absolutely disgusting.
