Yeah, game development can get out of hand. I've been watching Matt Muscles's What Happun1? series and what I've learned is a lot of troubled game development is basically starting over and over again do to bad management, game engines, and other pipeline issues that can lose a lot of work if an important decision is taken mid development. Other times bugs and glitches abruptly appear past the middle of the development itself, which is why I think some games are demoed with a version that they feel is gonna be the final one, but when the time to do testing it breaks apart and changes need to be made.
