If you’ve been following game industry news this past week, you’ve no doubt been inundated with fiscal reports. Pretty much every big gaming company has released their latest financial data, and plenty of them have had banner years, but it takes something a little more to make the top 10.

In 2021, the top 10 gaming companies raked in a combined $126 billion in revenue. Nintendo is indeed included in that top 10, coming in at #8 overall, thanks to $8.1 billion in revenue. This figure is actually up 1.9% year-over-year, which is pretty impressive when you consider the Switch boom the year before!

@thegreatking

I was wondering the same thing. Do they just get a lot more software sales? Or maybe they make a lot more per console...?

You guys are forgetting the mobile market. Sony makes a lot of money with mobile games, especially FGO.

I don't even know some of these companies but damn... Microsoft and Sony above Nintendo, did not expect that... Just Activision Blizzard earned more.
