Legendary NBA player LeBron James took to Twitter to run an impromptu question and answer session with fans. Obviously, fans were allowed to ask whatever questions they wanted, but there was no guarantee that those questions would be answered. James was hit with a massive wall of questions, and somehow, a Nintendo-related one broke through.

Of the very few questions that were answered, one of them was Nintendo related! The question, a simple one from Spawnwave, asked Lebron if he liked the GameCube or the N64 better. Lebron gave absolutely no explanation for his response, and simply chose the N64 for the GameCube.

There’s no doubt both platforms have their fans and their fair share of great games, but the simple fact of the matter is that more people bought the N64 over the Cube. That alone makes it more likely the N64 will win out in a question like this.

Now I flip the question around on you guys! Which platform do you like better…and I want to know why!

I'm a big LeBron and Lakers fan but he's "wrong". 😅

GameCube is my favorite console of ALL TIME because I fell out of gaming during the last year of the N64 era but got pulled right back in when GameCube arrived and haven't stopped gaming since. Not to mention the Wavebird being the best controller I've ever held, but that's just me. 😁

He was already playing prep school ball in 2001 when the GameCube launched and would be a professional 2 years later. Which is funny to consider he's still a pro athlete today. But of course he'd have a stronger attachment to the N64 which came out when he was a kid.

I was a kid when the GameCube came out so I like its games better.

I think GameCube is objectively the superior console. Most of Nintendo's IPs had some of the best games in the series on the console and the third party support was improved.

But I had way more fun with the Nintendo 64. My friends and I would play HOURS of GoldenEye 007, Perfect Dark, Mario Kart 64, Diddy Kong Racing, Rush 2, Mario Tennis, Mario Party, and Super Smash Bros.

Some of the single player experiences were great, too. Banjo-Kazooie is one of my favorite games of all time.

The N64 just arrived at the perfect era in my life before everyone got busy with responsibilities. It was far from a perfect console but it was extremely fun.
