The Legend of Airoheart: A Connection to the the days of old
Publisher SOEDESCO has announced that Airoheart, an action-adventure RPG inspired by the classics, is coming to Switch on Sept. 30th, 2022. This release will include both digital and physical options. A new trailer for Airoheart was released to accompany this announcement, which you can enjoy above.
Airoheart started out as a passion project by Australian indie developer Pixel Heart Studio. The game was created in Unreal Engine® 4, and development began back in 2017 before being successfully funded on Kickstarter in 2020. Earlier this year, SOEDESCO announced their publisher involvement with Airoheart. This was immediately followed by a private and closed beta test, as well as a temporary publicly playable demo on Steam.
*The story of Airoheart begins in the land of Engard, where our beloved hero Airoheart sets out on a journey to stop his brother’s diabolical plan to unleash an ancient evil that has been sealed in the shadows for generations, and to trigger a war using the power of the Draoidh Stone. 2y agoThis looks fantastic! If that trailer is any indication, I'd say that it's going to turn out brilliant. I hope they do well. It reminds me of the 16 bit greats.

2y agoI understand drawing inspiration from something, but this look so similar to A Link to the Past you could almost assume it's a rom hack. The game itself looks good but it looks a lot more like ripoff and a lot less like inspiration.
