Late last year, all the way back in October of 2021, a new set of Amiibos were announced to be releasing in 2022: Steve & Alex from Minecraft. The duo is getting an Amiibo release thanks to their 2020 inclusion in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s Fighter Pass Volume 2.

After an initial delay from Spring 2022 to “later in 2022”, today Nintendo has announced that the new figures will be arriving very soon, on September 9th 2022.

A Tweet from Nintendo of American can be seen below which features both Amiibo in a full 360 and from various angles.

Be sure to keep an eye out for the figures’ release at various retailers!

I wonder if Nintendo will take the same approach as with Min-Min — limit pre-orders and stuff the retail channels on release day to cut down/frustrate scalpers.

Cue the 2 years later meme.

That's what it's almost been since they were announced. Good luck waiting for Sephiroth, Pyra/Mythra and Kazuya amiibo. And Sora? Ha! He doesn't even have an amiibo announcement.
