Back at the Game Awards, Metroid Dread managed to best the likes of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Psychonauts 2, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Resident Evil Village to take home the Best Action/Adventure Game award. Nintendo’s Doug Bowser accepted the award on behalf of developer MercurySteam, but now that award has finally made it to their offices.

Various staffers at MercurySteam have since been taking pictures with the award, including Jose Luis Márquez, Creative Director on Metroid Dread (seen above). Márquez also shared the following kind words with fans.

And finally The Game Award for Metroid Dread arrived at the office! What an awesome day and what an awesome trophy. To all Metroid fans around the world: you inspire us so much, this award is also yours.

There's no image/s for this story and I won't be clicking that link.

I found a link and images.

I thought from a quick glance that the statue was wearing a face mask.

Is there any way to format links? Let's see what happens when I post this.

I'm a big fan of the series, my first NES game in fact. I also enjoyed this one though I felt the humanoid bosses were a bit cheap.

It's just text; no formatting, no links, no images, but yes emoji!! 😍😎👍✨🎶

The old site would have allowed you to submit that as a fix and even earn a credit in the story, but I don't think a single person ever used it 🤷🏻‍♂️
