Is it finally happening?

You might remember that back in November, LEGO made an official announcement saying they were no longer accepting Legend of Zelda-related designs via their LEGO Ideas website. This led many to believe that Nintendo and LEGO were finally working together on an official Legend of Zelda LEGO set. Fast-forward to today, and it seems word has leaked of Nintendo and LEGO collaborating to bring Link and more to life as LEGO.

While nothing is official at this time, a round of confidential images has hit the web, along with some details on a Legend of Zelda LEGO release. Here’s what we know about the supposed set so far…

  • 2-in-1 set featuring the Great Deku Tree
  • build the Great Deku Tree from Ocarina of Time or Breath of the Wild
  • 1920 pieces
  • includes Ocarina of Time Link, as well as Breath of the Wild Link/Zelda

Again, not confirmed so far, but the images floating around along with the details do seem to be legit. Now we sit back and wait to see if Nintendo or LEGO makes an announcement!

Thanks to Moneyhead64 and Olivia for the heads up!

Day 1 buy for me. Don’t care what the price is.

I don't buy the rumor yet.
Lego currently doesn't do '2 in 1' sets to my knowledge, especially not licensed, so weird they would make it a thing suddenly for this, especially when the differences between oot and BotW aren't that distinct enough to be considered 2 different builds.

Uuuuuugggghhhhhhhh... I might not be able to pass up on those, even though I lack the money and the space and the time and basically everything else.

I'd love to see Zelda Lego sets, but I hope they're closer to the classic Castle sets with the mini-figures, and not like the current Mario Lego sets.
