Another Super Mario Bros. movie poster shared
Training complete!
Nintendo and Illumination recently released a fancy poster for the upcoming Super Mario Bros. animated movie, and today the duo is back with another poster ahead of the movie’s release.
This poster gives us a look at the training montage that was seen in one of the first trailers for The Super Mario Bros. Movie. The snippet we see in the trailer shows Mario fumbling his way through an obstacle course at the start of his journey. This poster shows that Mario has more than come into his own, and he’s ready to take on Bowser in the ultimate showdown!
The Super Mario Bros. Movie is set to arrive in theaters in North America on April 7th, 2023.

That's the kind of detailed reinvention I want to see out of this. "I understood that reference" moments are fun as a treat, but they shouldn't be the core appeal of a whole movie.

1y agoI wonder if maybe those are just special ones because this is some sort of training course.
That's the impression I got. I assumed the Mushroom Kingdom built those piranha plants to train Mario.
