As you no doubt know, Nintendo revealed the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Collector’s Edition during this week’s Nintendo Direct. You can see that Collector’s Edition above, which includes the game itself, a SteelBook game case, an ICONART poster, pin set and hardcover art book. What Nintendo didn’t reveal was a Switch OLED for Tears of the Kingdom, but all hope is not lost.

At the very end of last year, a few images surfaced that supposedly showcased a Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Switch OLED. You can have a look at those images here. While Nintendo is yet to confirm any sort of Tears of the Kingdom Switch OLED, fans have noticed something between this rumor and the Collector’s Edition that seems a bit too convenient to be a mere coincidence.

The image above shows off a portion of the rumored Tears of the Kingdom Switch OLED alongside a close-up of the emblem on the pin set included in the Collector’s Edition. There’s no denying that both of those icons look extremely similar. There’s no doubt about it, the leaked image of the Joy-Con and the official image from the Collector’s Edition show the exact same icon.

What are the chances a leaked image could end up showcasing the exact same icon from the Collector’s Edition and not be real? I’ll leave that speculation up to you guys.

That pretty much confirms it. We’ll probably get a mini-Direct for TOTK specifically and that’s when preorders of the TOTK OLED will go live.

It's getting harder and harder to tell what a leak and a rumour is these days, but hardware stuff seems to often be spot on. So this is pretty darn sure a thing.

Now that Nintendo VR patent...
