Immortals: Fenyx Rising was an unabashed Zelda: Breath of the Wild clone, but it was also pretty enjoyable. Not as great as Zelda’s Switch debut, but good enough to hold people over until Breath of the Wild 2 comes along.

Reviews were good, consumer reaction was good, and it seems that sales were pretty darn good as well. That last part has to be true for tonight’s rumor to make sense. Apparently, we can expect a sequel to Immortals: Fenyx Rising sometime in the future.

In a piece for Xfire, leaker Tom Henderson states that “several sources with direct knowledge of Ubisoft’s plans” have confirmed that a sequel to Immortals is in the works. The game is currently in a pre-production stage, and would most likely be tackled by Ubisoft Quebec.

I thought this game bombed because it plummeted in price so fast, but I hope it did do well enough to warrant a sequel because I quite enjoyed the game. I still need to play through the DLC.
