Nintendo Power Magazine ran from July 1988 to July 2012, publishing 285 issues throughout the years. When the magazine called it quits, Nintendo fans were devastated by the news, as the publication was a staple for all-things Nintendo.

Fast-forward to 2017 and those same fans were elated to see that Nintendo was bringing back the Nintendo Power brand with a podcast. The 57th episode of that podcast released earlier today, and it focuses on The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Unfortunately, it also seems this will be the last episode.

Nintendo Power Podcast host Chris Slate starts off today’s episode by saying that this was the last episode Nintendo has planned. Slate doesn’t say that the show is outright dead, as there could be specials or one-off reasons to return, but it does seem that the Nintendo Power Podcast proper is riding off into the sunset.

With this likely being the final episode of the Nintendo Power Podcast, you certainly don’t want to miss it. You can find all the details on Episode 57 here.

Wow, that's sad to hear! As much as this podcast was obviously lawyer-checked each time before it went live, I really enjoyed listening to it regularly, and hearing insight from people at Nintendo we don't normally hear from. I'll miss it!

Same here! I fell off pace a little while ago, but I meant to go back. I was a mostly regular listener, otherwise.

This is upsetting. I enjoyed the podcast and discovered many games by their recommendations.
