While most WayForward fans are chomping at the bit to play River City Girls 2, it’s clear that Japanese audiences aren’t ready to move on from the first game yet. As a matter of fact, they’d like to pay tribute to that debut installment with something special; a stage play!

A theater company called Solid Star has revealed that they’re working on a River City Girls play that’s based on the original game. This play will make its debut on December 7th, and will only run until Dec. 11th, 2022. That’s not a very long run for a play, so those who get to see this in person are quite lucky!

Want to know more about the play? We would as well, but it doesn’t seem there are any other details at the moment. The one thing we know for sure is that WayForward is not involved with this adaptation in any way, which means it’s not an official event in any way, shape or form. If anything, that only makes us more curious to see what this is like!
