Niantic thanks Pokémon GO fans for attending GO Fest 2022, shares stats

Niantic has released a special video to thank Pokémon GO Trainers for getting involved with the multiple Pokémon GO Fest 2022 events that took place this Summer. The festivities were a worldwide occasion, and Trainers showed up in a big way to make the fun bigger and better than ever. You can catch a quick glimpse at what these events had to offer in the video above.

Along with the video, Niantic shared some impressive states for Pokémon GO Fest 2022. According to their data, millions of Trainers caught 1.75 billion Pokémon and explored 150 million kilometers when all was said and done. That makes for over 93 million miles!

This series included the first in-person Pokémon GO Fest events since 2019 and highlighted what makes Pokémon GO special. Trainers in Berlin, Seattle, and Sapporo sent nearly two million Gifts, traded 94,000 Pokémon, and forged over 270,000 new in-game friendships.
