March 28th, 2022 is the 20th anniversary of the Kingdom Hearts franchise, believe it or not. Square Enix has announced various plans to celebrate the occasion, including a special in-person event. None other than series creator Tetsuya Nomura is working a special piece for that event, and he shared a sneak peek of it via Twitter.

The image above is a sketch from Nomura himself, and it’s something he’s working on for the event. The image isn’t quite done yet, but he wanted to share a first-look with fans via Twitter. We should be able to see the final piece on April 10th, 2022, which is when the Kingdom Hearts event is happening in Tokyo, Japan.
