Believe it or not, Shin Megami Tensei V is a 1 year old as of today. In honor of the occasion, Atlus shared a new piece of artwork from Masayuki Doi, which you can see above. Along with that, the company also revealed a great bit of news about the game.

According to Atlus, Shin Megami Tensei V has managed to sell 1 million units worldwide. That’s a pretty fantastic figure for a niche RPG series, and there’s sure to be more units sold in the coming year. Maybe today’s the perfect day for you to pick it up!

In Shin Megami Tensei V, a grisly murder scene in modern-day Tokyo blocks our protagonist’s walk home. This leads to an unplanned detour that leaves him buried and unconscious. He awakens in a new Tokyo, a wasteland ravaged by apocalypse now called Da’at… but before bloodthirsty demons can claim his life, a savior emerges, and they unite to become a mighty being neither human nor demon: a Nahobino.
