That's a colossal debut number for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Look at the other 3 entries though for Switch in the chart. Their sales combined is 1/3 that of Splatoon 3's sales for the week in second place with 37,000, never mind Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

When people talk of Nintendomination in Japan, that's exactly what it is, Nintendo domination. 3rd parties rarely get a look-in, apart from a few exceptions.

Impressive Switch hardware numbers as well. With the 2 portable centric models leading the way, not surprisingly. There's no shortage of Switch hardware.
