Just yesterday, the official Twitter account for The Game Awards has announced that actor Keegan-Michael Key will appear at this year’s show. For those who don’t know, Keegan-Michael Key is lending his talents to Toad in the Super Mario Bros. movie. This led to speculation that we’d see something for the film during today’s Game Awards. Now we know that speculation was 100% true.
Geoff Keighley, creator and host of The Game Awards, retweeted a tweet from the Cartoon Base Twitter account. That original tweet mentioned that The Game Awards would offer a ‘new look’ at the Super Mario Bros. movie. Unfortunately, that’s all the information we have at the moment.
At least we won’t have to wait long to see what this fresh look has to offer. The Game Awards will air live at 8 PM ET tonight, and will be available to stream just about everywhere.
