It appears the Tetris movie set to air on Apple TV+ is moving right along, as the film has received its rating. While you might think a Tetris movie would be a family-friendly affair, Apple clearly had a different idea in mind.

The Tetris movie has officially been given an R rating, which I don’t think anyone saw coming. According to the ratings details, the movie has been given an R due to harsh language.

In the Tetris movie, Taron Egerton (“Rocketman”) will star as Henk Rogers, the Dutch video game designer who secured the rights to the original Tetris, and then licensed it for Nintendo platforms. A dispute arose due to this licensing, and the film will no doubt explore this battle in considerable detail.
