Niantic has announced details for Pokémon GO’s January Community Day Classic, featuring Larvitar, the Rock Skin Pokémon, taking place Saturday, January 21st, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Trainers can enjoy in-game bonuses and features, including:

Featured Attack: Evolve Pupitar (Larvitar’s Evolution) during the event or up to two hours afterward to get a Tyranitar that knows the Fast Attack Smack Down.

Community Day Special Research: For US$1.00 (or equivalent pricing tier), Trainers can purchase or gift tickets to access the Larvitar Community Day Classic–exclusive Special Research story.

Event Bonuses: 3 XP for catching Pokémon, 3 hr Lure Modules, 3 hr Incense, snapshot surprise
