The last thing we learned about the Tetris movie heading to Apple TV+ was that it would be getting an R rating. This is due to the film being about the creation of Tetris and the turmoil behind the scenes, rather than adapting the game itself into a film. Today brings us a bit more news on when we can expect the film to arrive.

Apple has announced that the Tetris movie is going to make its premier at South X Southwest 2023, which takes place March 10th to 19th, 2023. We don’t know the exact date of the film’s premier, but this event no doubt points to the Tetris movie seeing release on Apple TV+ sometime before 2023 is over.

In the Tetris movie, Henk Rogers is played by Taaron Egerton, and Alexey Pajitnov is played by Nikita Efremov. All we really know about the movie at this time is that it will follow Rogers as he travels to Russia to secure the rights to Tetris.

Egerton was great in Blackbird on Apple TV+. Seems to be one of those good actors flying under the radar somewhat.
