FINANCIAL RESULTS
MODIFIED FORECAST FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023
- Nintendo looks to maintain Switch momentum by continuing to convey the appeal of the Switch family of systems
- a “rich variety of appealing titles” are also planned for Switch release by other software publishers
- Nintendo will work to energize the Switch by continuously adding new titles to those are already available
- Nintendo plans to encourage even more people to continue to enjoy playing Switch
GAME SALES INFO
- Pokémon Scarlet/Violet have sold 20.61 million
- Splatoon 3 has sold 10.13 million units
- Nintendo Switch Sports has sold 8.61 million units
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sold another 6.66 million units in this quarter for a cumulative total of 52 million units
- Kirby and the Forgotten Land sold another 3.47 million units in this quarter for a cumulative total of of 6.12 million units
- the total number of million-seller titles during this period was 27, including titles from other software publishers
- total software sales declined 4.0% year-on-year to 172.11 million units, affected to some extent by the decline in hardware sales
HARDWARE SALES
- hardware units sold declined 21.3% year-on-year to 14.91 million units
- Nintendo says this is mainly due to a shortage of semiconductors and other component supplies that impacted production until around late Summer

8M agoSo, after you take in to account the weaker Yen, this is overall good news, and digital sales are KILLING IT. The Japanese investors are going to overreact because of course they will. Meanwhile all other manufacturers in the gaming space are reporting greater losses
