Respawn, the developer of Apex Legends, has just announced that a third studio has been opened to help with creating ongoing content for the title. This new studio is opening in Madison, Wisconsin, and the team is ready to keep Apex Legends thriving for years to come.

Games Industry spoke to Respawn co-founder and CEO Vince Zampella to find out more about the studio, which was opened to keep staff from getting overwhelmed and bogged down. This is when Zampella gave some insight into the future of Apex Legends, and how long the team is expecting the game to remain online.

“Team health is absolutely a top priority for us because we’re in this for the long haul. We believe in Apex as a franchise that’s going to be around for 10, 15 years or more and we’re excited to make that happen. In order to do that, we can’t just put everything all upfront, burn ourselves out and not be ready to do that in the long haul.”

It’s great to see Respawn put the health of their employees at the forefront of development, and hopefully the opening of this third studio will help everyone tied to Apex Legends relax a bit more.
