The Super Mario Bros. Movie Japanese screenings announced for North America

How many times have you seen the Super Mario Bros. Movie? Looking for an excuse to head to theaters and check it out again? Well, a very interesting opportunity just popped up, and it’ll only be around for a limited time.
The official Super Mario Bros. Movie Twitter account has announced that starting April 28th, 2023, select theaters in North America will be showing the film with the Japanese dub! Oddly enough, it seems that this screening will be straight-Japanese without English subtitles. We’re trying to get more info on that, but it could be a theater-by-theater situation. Call your local theater for more details.
Earlier today, Shigeru Miyamoto revealed that Nintendo handled the script’s translation from English to Japanese for the film’s Japanese release, which drops on April 28th, 2023. Now we can head to theaters and see just how much it differs!
