LongStory 2 announced for Switch, due out early 2024
Sequel to the award-winning LGBTQ dating sim
The highly anticipated sequel to award-winning LongStory is coming to Steam and Switch in early 2024. With over 1 million downloads, LongStory is one of the most beloved and LGBTQ+ friendly dating simulators for young players, claiming a coveted spot in an underserved market. Today, Canadian indie developer Bloom Digital Media announced LongStory 2, a brand new sequel that picks up right where things left off in the first game.
The Weasel Heights gang continues to surprise and delight as you learn more about yourself, friendship and love. Play as the gender of your choice and date the friend you like best. Throw a big mystery in the mix and you’re in for an adventure!
LongStory 2 is a continuation of the charming and LGBTQ+ friendly dating simulator where players can be and date who they want. They can pick their pronouns, choose their presentation and explore the AWKWARD dating scene at Weasel Heights.
Players also have the choice to not date anyone and simply have fun making friends and collecting clues on their quest to solve one of the school’s biggest mysteries. “With our ACE players, it’s not about not being ready to date, it’s just that they’re not into dating,” said Heather Jackson, narrative director at Bloom Digital Media, “they want to play the game to get to know the characters and experience the story, and there’s lots of opportunities for them to do that.”
LongStory 2 is an episodic visual novel, and it’s designed to allow players to explore their identity as they navigate the challenges of starting high school, all while trying to juggle romance, friendship and life. From Rollerskating to LARPing, LongStory 2 has it all.
The developers are working on a demo for later this year and a Kickstarter campaign to support some finishing touches and key features ahead of their launch in early 2024.
