Dawn of the Monsters came to Switch just a few weeks back, and we absolutely loved it. The game is a beat’em-up with a surprising amount of depth, and a huge focus on the kaiju genre. I mean, what’s not to love about that combo!?

While 13AM Games (Runbow) developed the game, WayForward stepped in to publish. In a Reddit AMA with multiple WayForward and 13AM staff members, we find out why WayForward took on publishing duties.

It just looked awesome! Alex (13AM Games) showed us the game at E3 several years back and it looked great and seemed like something that would fit in with the rest of the games we develop and publish. So we made that happen.

The team was also asked about potential collabs between Dawn of the Monsters and other games in the works. While specifics weren’t shared, it looks like fans can expect a nod or two to the franchise in an upcoming title.

We can’t promise anything regarding collabs, but there’s another kaiju project coming out soon that might include some Dawn of the Monsters easter eggs ;)
