The BBC Proms is an eight-week Summer season of daily orchestral classical music concerts and other events held annually, predominantly in the Royal Albert Hall in central London. This year’s version of the festival kicks off on July 15th, 2022, but it’s August 1st that gamers will want to pay close attention to.

For the first time ever, the BBC Proms will be hosting a game music presentation. This segment will be held in the Royal Albert Hall, and will feature music from multiple video games including Kingdom Hearts, Shadow of the Colossus, Dear Esther, and Battlefield 2042.

Composers confirmed to appear at the event include conductor Robert Ames, Hildur Guðnadóttir, Sam Slater, Jessica Curry, Yoko Shimomura and Kow Otani. The performers will be accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
