Netflix has finally shared a very quick teaser of Sonic Prime, their upcoming Sonic animated series. You can check out the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it spot above.

Along with that teaser, Netflix shared a quick synopsis of what the show’s all about. Read that in full below.

The 24-episode animated adventure for kids, families, and long-time fans draws upon the keystones of the brand and features the “Blue Blur” of video game fame in a high-octane adventure where the fate of a strange new multiverse rests in his gloved hands. Sonic’s adventure is about more than a race to save the universe, it’s a journey of self-discovery and redemption.

Lastly, we also got some details on the cast and crew involved with the show. When it comes to cast, outside of Deven Mack being Sonic, we didn’t get a breakdown of who’s playing who. We’ll just have to wait for those specifics.

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER: Man of Action, Erik Wiese, WildBrain (Josh Scherba, Anne Loi, Stephanie Betts, Logan McPherson), SEGA (Haruki Satomi Yukio Sugino, Shuji Utsumi, Toru Nakahara)

CAST: Deven Mack, Ashleigh Ball, Shannon Chan-Kent, Brian Drummond, Vincent Tong, Ian Hanlin, Kazumi Evans, Adam Narada

Sonic Prime is still slated to release on Netflix sometime in 2022. Hopefully we have a more specific timeframe to share in the near future.

Thanks to Andreslop24 for the heads up!

The editing between sonics lines was very noticeable but beyond that there's nothing I'm worried about yet. The Sonic Running animation needs more oomph, in that split second we saw him it looks like his upper half is just along for the ride. He should be really into it if you ask me, (speed is kinda his thing).
