UPDATE: Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway has now been officially announced. All the details leaked earlier were spot-on. You can find the original post below.
Best Buy has leaked the existence of a third entry in the Nickelodeon Kart Racers series. Although retailer listings are typically hit or miss, we’re pretty confident that this one is legit, as not only is the game given a unique subtitle, “Slime Speedway,” but there is also a detailed description of the game’s features. Over 40 fully-voiced iconic characters will be part of the roster, including those from SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Avatar: The Last Airbender. Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway is apparently set for a physical and digital Switch release on October 7th, 2022, and will be published by GameMill Entertainment.
In our review of Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2, we praised the unique racing mechanics and exhilarating fast-paced gameplay, but were disappointed by the lifelessness partially due to the lack of voice acting. Following the success of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, it seems the folks over at Nick have thankfully heard the fan feedback.
Rebuilt and re-imagined from the ground up, Nickelodeon Kart Racers returns - bigger and better than ever! Featuring a fully voice acted cast of over 40 iconic characters, drift, slide and boost your way to the finish line on tracks inspired by legendary Nickelodeon shows like SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Avatar: The Last Airbender and more!
