Coromon publisher warns of fake crypto/NFT scam

Coromon is available on Switch today, and it should be happy day for both publisher Freedom Games and developer TRAGsoft. Sadly, that’s not the case, as someone out there is trying to scam those interested in Coromon with a crypto scam.

Just yesterday, an NFT/crypto scam appeared on social media, and the team behind it was pretending to be associated with Coromon. This message looked to associate Coromon with blockchain technology, and promised NFT giveaways. Freedom Games has come out after this scam to say that there is absolutely no NFT or blockchain integration in Coromon, or any other titles from Freedom Games. Furthemore, the scam “Coromon (BSC)” illegally uses the real game’s assets and the trademarked name.

Both Freedom Games and TRAGsoft are encouraging fans to report any accounts they see associated with the scam. Along with that, Freedom Games has its legal team looking into any and all remedies and protections possible.
