GN Version 3.1

Are you a left-handed person, and you’re worried about how you’ll be able to handle the 3DS? DS play wasn’t an issue, as the buttons and dpad were symmetrical. The 3DS has a dpad/slide pad on the same side, and only one set of buttons on the right. What’s a left-handed gamer to do? Here’s what customer service had to say to reader Woopman when he contacted them.

Thank you for taking the time to write to us with your feedback regarding the Nintendo 3DS and left handled players. I can certainly understand your thoughts on this matter and want you to know how much we appreciate you sending them in. I also want to assure you that your comments will be added to our records for this system and made available for other departments at the company to use as they see fit. It might interest you to know that feedback sent in by our consumers is often reviewed to assist with new development decisions.

As you can see, all hope is not lost. I honestly wouldn’t bet on any changes being made, but there may be some considerations inbetween now and the final design. Lefties, keep those fingers crossed!
