No Worldwide Launch for Revo

Nintendo Co. Ltd. president Satoru Iwata has made a statement while talking to Bloomberg concerning the Revolution’s launch around the world. The rough translation below.

“We do not think, that a world-wide simultaneous sales start is necessary, only because others make it.” - Satoru Iwata

Basically he is saying that just because Microsoft and Sony have done or are playing to launch their system simultaneously doesn’t mean that Nintendo has to.

While the Revolution’s launch won’t be simultaneous around the world, the last I heard, Nintendo was planning on doing a staggered launch over the period of two months. Whatever Nintendo needs to do to ensure their are no shipping problems with consoles is fine by me, as long as it doesn’t break the 6 month barrier. Also keep in mind that the Revo is looking like it will launch in the US this November, ignoring the rumor of a 99% impossible June launch.
