Recently, we had an article that showed how both Sony and Microsoft missed out on the tech behind the Wii. Now we have a similar story about how Microsoft missed their chance at getting Resident Evil 4 as an Xbox exclusive.

Shinji Mikami was getting tired and frustrated with working on the PS2. He was out to move the Resident Evil series away from Sony's grasp, so he decided to meet with Microsoft. The meeting was about bringing Resident Evil to the Xbox. That meeting went terribly wrong, with Mikami not getting the answers he needed to feel persuaded. He ended up taking his business to Nintendo, which managed to sync up on ideas, thus giving us Resident Evil 4 on the GameCube.

That's the quick and dirty version of the story. Please make sure to hit up the feature below for the full details.
