Ubisoft confirms lack of DLC in Wii U version of Assassin's Creed IV

What is it about Nintendo platforms and DLC? The Wii U is more than capable of offering DLC to gamers, but third parties just don't seem interested. It's even weirder when a game is heading to the Wii U, but the developer doesn't bother giving it full support. Case in point, Assassin's Creed IV.

While we talked about yesterday's DLC announcement lacking a Wii U confirmation, the situation only got worse today. Ubisoft has confirmed that the “Freedom Cry” DLC, as well as future DLC, won't land on Wii U. No reason for the decision was given.
