Legendary Pokemon and Mythical Pokemon are different things?

They are. Legendary Pokemon usually include ones like Mewtwo, Articuno and the like. They are catchable in-game. Mythical are almost exclusively through events like Mew, Celebi, etc.

Looks quite rough to say the least. Maybe the hardware they're using for the footage is older?

Probably shouldn't expect it to look much better. Betas usually don't improve much

I work in games so I'm aware :-)
I wasn;'t really commenting on the actual aesthetics, just the quality of the animations / camera transitions which both looked a little choppy which may be caused by hardware on the lower end of the recommended specs.

but yeah... I don't expect much of a difference once it really comes out

- no battles against wild Pokémon
- Pokémon that use Evolution Stones to evolve will obtain Evolution Shards by battling wild Pokémon

Aren't these statements contradictory?

There are no battles currently implemented in the beta, but it sounds like people have found via data mining that battles will be implemented in some form down the road.

Looks bad just like I said it would but people are just realizing that. I'll play it but I doubt it's going to be that good. This has nothing to do with it being a mobile game, that's an ignorant attitude. It just doesn't look fun or good.

Just like I expected, the interface looks poor. The only thing that looks remotely good IMO are the Pokemon models, and boy does Articuno and Porygon look pretty!

This sounds like a dumbed down version of the games...
