Disney Infinity - server shutdown info

September 30th 2016

Until September 30, 2016, Community Content will still be available and players will be able to upload and download any of their favorite Toy Box creations.
The Disney Infinity Community team will no longer be reviewing or approving any new Toy Boxes that are submitted to Disney for all console, mobile and PC versions of the game.

March 3rd 2017

All Disney Infinity online services and community features for all versions will be discontinued

I said this before and I'll say it again. Why the hell couldn't this have happened to s****y Skylanders instead?

I hate how companies are now already shutting down servers for 8th gen games. Especially first parties like how Microsoft shut down Project Spark and Sony's going to shut down the entire LittleBigPlanet series in Japan including 3 and the Vita game.

To Infinity and Begone!

To be honest I think Skylanders will be gone first. Though at the same time my interests aren't aligned with those of the majority.

Well that settles it. I thought I'd pick up the game now that it's on clearance, but removing the servers take out a load of what I found fun in 1.0 in the first place. Seeing other people's content.

The "Play without limits" tagline was a bit ironic in that email, as they were technically defining the future limits of the game...
