Cartoon Network: Battle Crashers - boxart

Man, seeing this boxart makes me realize how old I am. When I first started GoNintendo, I was posting about Cartoon Network games that featured a completely different cast of characters. Now all those series' are retired! Time flies when you're busy getting old...

Shame all the good shows are gone.

Oh please. Cartoon Network right now has the best cartoons they've had in a long time.

Wtf? Cartoon Network has some of their best shows on now. I bet you haven't even watched them.

You mean cringe that became, Immature Pandering Commercialized Sesame Street TTG? That like, makes up half of their Entire Broadcast these days. They don't even/Seldom Show AT or RS anymore. Just the same 3 shows Over and OVER again, not even all the different episodes.

PPG, BTW, was from the late 90's. Though you couldn't have known, you probably weren't even born then(or have very questionable taste'?'); and I don't recall seeing it in the lineup recently.

Bunicula? Were'd that go? TLS, Were'd that go? Wabbit(meh), Were'd that Go? YJ, Were'd that go? It basically became the Fox Network of Cartoons. They even stopped showing the good shows they pulled on Boomerang.

I've seen the line up, It's mostly trash. They had a couple of good ones in 2011(TC), then they scrapped them for 'reasons'. They only have maybe 1 or two now worth watching, provided that they aren't even reruns(which 7 out of 10 times, they are).

00's had Megus, JL, TT, and even some good/decent Anime and Movies, your statement is therefore invalid. Believe it started going south ever since they force fed B10.

Honestly though, I don't want to get into "Animation Politics" with anybody and I'll leave it at that IF that's what responses will devolve(?) to.

You're mentioning none of the shows that I watch. It's sad that you've jumped to conclusions with no basis for your argument. I don't watch any of the shows.

I watch Adventure Time, Regular Show, The Amazing World Of Gumball, Steven Universe and We Bare Bears.

I don't feel like getting too deep into this. If you're one of those people who just hates the new cartoons and hasn't seen a lot of them, I won't even respect the next response with a reply. Just saying.

So here's the quick rundown.

Adventure Time - Very creative world and good story telling(when it wants to). It's unique and has been on the network since 2010 I believe. That's a long run for a cartoon and it's still going strong.

Regular Show - Random comedy and a show that appeals to not only kids but adults as well. There's jokes for both in there. Recently, the show has started making the characterization even deeper.

The Amazing World Of Gumball - Best animation on the network. The show is able to explore so many styles with it's vast cast of characters. Also, it's pretty funny.

Steven Universe - Best show on the network hands down. It has a really good story that's slowly developing and a great cast of characters. The action is good. It's funny. Everything about this show is good.

We Bare Bears - A more recent cartoon that's definitely set in the modern age. There's references to different things. The episodes are pretty good but this show knocks things out of the park with it's backstory episodes.

Again, if you're going to complain about new cartoons vs. old cartoons or something like that. I won't be replying so don't waste your breath. I've seen every episode of these shows so I know a lot about them and know whether they are bad or not. None of them are bad.

Adventure Time and Steven Universe are two of my favorites! I have seen a couple of We Bare Bears, and I absolutely love Ice Bear and wish I had more time to devote to this show.

I'm glad you like them! Steven Universe is getting better and better!

Most definitely! Loved the two episodes last night.

Yeah, we should be finishing up Season 3 this week and I think more episodes are coming later this year.

Mhm. I'm very excited. Last nights two episodes were great. I turned to my boyfriend and said freaking finally at one part haha.

You're mentioning none of the shows that I watch.

It's not very difficult to NOT watch something they don't even air.
Was that a futile attempt at a straw, or where are you going with this?

It's sad that you've jumped to conclusions with no basis for your argument. I don't watch any of the shows.

1. Kettle calling.
2. Don't and Can't are two different things, though I suppose one could somehow misconstrue the two meanings.

I watch Adventure Time, Regular Show, The Amazing World Of Gumball, Steven Universe and We Bare Bears.

Only 1 of those mentioned are even still aired consistently that are actually good(Hint, it's before the last two cringe shows mentioned), but 1 good show does NOT a line up make. Again, all reruns. It's stupid, because I missed so many episodes of AT that I lost track due to their random spazz airings of the show(They still register as season 6, but it could be well within season 8 ). I hear on Hulu it's WAY MORE consistent, but Hulu is NOT CN.

If you're one of those people who just hates the new cartoons and hasn't seen a lot of them

Cause maybe I don't want to sit through torture or gimmicky premise based shows. I gave Gumball a shot, and it was decent and has lots of moments you wouldn't expect. Gave TTG a shot and at first it was fun, but then they completely derailed around the end of season one or the beginning of season two. It got progressively more annoying until I couldn't tolerate it anymore. Clarence is like, Meh. It has it's audience, but not really my taste. It's one of those shows that if there is 'absolutely' NOTHING on at the moment, you can watch it to pass the time. NPPG, is okay. Don't like the villain designs and a few of the voices are 'off key'. Then there are shows with gimmicky premises, plot devices, or trying too hard and I steer clear from those.

The Amazing World Of Gumball - Best animation on the network. The show is able to explore so many styles with it's vast cast of characters.

The thing I dislike is the 'AR' approach. You learn to ignore it though, didn't think I could at first. It's actually the dialogues that keep my interest.

Steven Universe - Best show on the network hands down.

Oh Lord X |.
Affectation to Wish Trolls I see.
I mean, I can handle Smurfs, can barely stand the voices of Chipmunks, but there is a Line to be drawn. More or less self inserts are part of that line.
I am Not at all surprised that you'd align yourself with this show. . .
All the mean things I can say, I'll just keep quite on cause it's one of those things that I KNOW I'll go to far on.

We Bare Bears - A more recent cartoon that's definitely set in the modern age.

Sounds like I'd totally HAte it.
They don't even have names(the title had zero thought put into it), and appears to be very "Marketing Centric"(Which is something I would Totally NOT be into.) I mean, did the casting just SERIOUSLY WING IT and went to a Cafe one day and said "Okay, Who Here has a Script to Pitch? We will SERIOUSLY consider ANYONE!"

I won't be replying so don't waste your breath.

Good, just don't be a tsunderella now. . .

I know a lot about them and know whether they are bad or not. None of them are bad.

Yeah, dude. I don't care.

You typed out a long message so I'll read it but

this will be my only comment.

The shows are good. You can buy them on DVD or watch them online. I actually have a new device that called a DVR. I guess it's unknown to a lot of people but it records shows so you can do other things and watch them later. It's crazy. Some people even record whole seasons of shows and watch them later.

You can send your paragraphs, insult shows, or whatever. I don't care. You're getting on my nerves and other people's nerves. You're not even accepting other arguments. You just shoot them down. I'm done. Please stop replying to my comments. I might end up hitting the button. I know you're annoying people on purpose and you get a jolly time out of it. I can sense it with your sarcastic replies.

That answered 3 of my points, and not in the respective order but still. . .

I actually have a new device that called a DVR. I guess it's unknown to a lot of people but it records shows so you can do other things and watch them later.

Wow, what a Coincidence, I have the SAME device :o. But Mine can only check for airing shows two weeks ahead before it cuts. And the shows are STILL 70% Reruns. My gosh you're grasping.

Some people even record whole seasons of shows and watch them later.

Yeah, like the SAME Episodes/first Seasons that Air ALL THE TIME.
TBS has like the SAME season(s) of TBBT in the same regard; I KNOW there's NEWER episodes from the native station, but the point here is the premise regarding the situation where the 'native' station otherwise doesn't exist and therefore cannot be recorded in that fashion. I can probably do what your saying for a show like Futurama(Or South Park even), because there they ACTUALLY show most episodes from DIFFERENT Seasons. I can't do that however, for the point of contention.

You can send your paragraphs, insult shows, or whatever. I don't care.

You're getting on my nerves and other people's nerves. You're not even accepting other arguments. You just shoot them down. I'm done

1. Maybe just yours, but to be fair, you do get on MINE too so I say that's even in that regard.
2. What argument did you present in the post I'm quoting from?
3. IF I shoot them down, it's your task to(IF you feel the need to, that is) defend your stance in a matter that is civil and persuasive. (Seriously, it HAS been done before by some users.)
4. You said you were done one post ago.

Please stop replying to my comments.

Well, since you asked nicely, perhaps this Will be my last entry regarding this topi. . .

I might end up hitting the button.

. . .Never mind. I don't take kindly to 'idle' threats. Neither does the Mod Staff. UNLESS, you were talking about the BLOCK button on your account settings. As in, Putting me on your Foes list so you don't have to deal with me anymore directly. In which case, By all Means Smile.

I know you're annoying people on purpose and you get a jolly time out of it.

I actually don't, but I can see how Many users misconstrue as much.
It's kind of a 'natural' filter of sorts.

I can sense it with your sarcastic replies.

'Sensing' sarcasm, online/in text.
You sure you're ready for Web1.0? Maybe you're more at home with Web2.0.
I'm not even saying that as an insult, but a genuine concern.
Yes, I do realize there are people sometimes behind the other screen.
But sometimes these people say things and act a certain way that suggest otherwise.

All of us, are Not as Cruel as Some of us.

That pictures not fair, they have a lot of the Hannah Barbara and Warner Bros. characters in there too.

Don't play the Numbers game here, it wouldn't convenience you to do so.

1. Over HALF the shown are from the SAME Show in 2012.
2. They don't even Air HAlf of what they show most of the time.

To the posters that are posting the >, We ARE talking about the same channel and generation, Right? Did they get another one, or maybe you guys are from a different region where programming differs drastically?

Also forgot to mention a few shows, probably others as well. KND, EEaE, CtCD, JB. They had 'event' showings for new shows and other blocks, not the 'hog troth' you see(and are accustomed to) today.

Spoiler

Cartoon Network isn't half bad right now. There was an awkward patch of time when the station couldn't decide what the hell it even wanted to be but I think they've pulled out of it. Adventure Time, Regular Show, We Bare Bears, Steven Universe, Gumball, and Uncle Grandpa are all pretty good. I'm probably one of five people who actually likes Teen Titans Go but I appreciate how often it makes fun of itself and the fans of the original series and never takes itself too seriously. Now that Johnny Test and Mad are gone, most of the new shows are decently watchable.

The times may have changed but there are some good ones on. Sure teen titans go and power puff girls are different but I still like their silliness.

Good lord, could Gumball's expression BE any more perfect?

2009 was Cartoon Network's worst year but they climbed out of that pit.

Nice, there's no Ben 10 to be seen. It seems it's missing We Bare Bears, though.

The only show I actually like in the line up is The Amazing World of Gumball. It had it's moments of cringe (example: the super saiyan joke.... Just, ew), but it definitely had a lot of funny moments too. Also, the animation? Best one in Cartoon Network right now.

I miss the era of Code Lyoko, Ed, Edd n Eddy, and Foster's...

Ten years from now, people who are now kids will be complaining about how CN was better in their time.
Ten years from then, people who were then kids will be complaining about how CN was better in their time.

Repeat until either CN or humanity is extinct.

Everyone thinks their childhood was the best. People who grew up in the 80's also think the shows that they had on CN in the late 90's/early 00's were worse than whatever they were watching as kids.

Everyone thinks their childhood was the best. People who grew up in the 80's also think the shows that they had on CN in the late 90's/early 00's were worse than whatever they were watching as kids.

Yikes. I guess that's what certain people would call, a sweeping generalization.

I grew UP in the 80's, so here's my response. . .

I actually Enjoy the original Looney Tunes and Tex Averys the most, and I believe those are from the 40's. A bunch of the 80's shows were questionable, some gems though. Many in the 90's though were on key. The Late 90's to early 00's had the best in terms of it being 'matured for best taste'. There was 1 Show, that converged Just Right, in 2011. There were actually a few shows in that year that were on point(in at least one form or another anyway).

Sadly, though, a certain group hungry more for numbers than quality/integrity sought out to destroy the nice things and shoehorn private agendas instead like were done in the 80's, only that in the 80's, you actually had to Actively Work at it and not just (Dam it, what's that word for sending the jobs off shore again?) it somewhere else, so there was some standard of quality in that. 70's(60's?) Animation was rough, so was some or many of the 80's animation, though at those times, it was comically understandable. My Favorite Scoobs were from the Mid to Late 90's era. 2011 saw a reboot(Oh Man, I completely Forgot they had another one recently, Total 360 in both characters AND aesthetic; my guess? The fans were NOT at ALL thrilled, I know I Wasnt'. New Scoob Movie coming up'one that DIDN'T Make the mistake of using that certain style that I forgot that I just mentioned herein', and it's another WWE entry. They get around to airing it, I'll check it). The aesthetics are there(as in, the more or less perfected the style to traverse all preceding generations, NOT an easy thing to do by any means), but they just Bombed when it came to the Character Representations. I do believe though that they kind fixed that in at least 1 or 2 movies later, though as it stands, still kinda up in the are. All things considered, the attempt was still appreciated.

So, yeah, take That in.
Don't know how you would though, you can't read these since you have me on block, right?
