You know, with as wildly successful as both re-releases of Super Mario RPG have been, you'd think Nintendo would get a clue about how to help the faltering sales of the Paper Mario and Mario and Luigi games...

I bet Mother 2 and Mother 3 was assited by a lot of westerners buying it on their imported Wii U

I'm so freaking happy DKC2 made the list!!! You guys don't know how much this means to me!

Was it not popular in japan? It's one of the best SNES games with it's music and level design and challenge.

I'm not sure exactly, but whenever I see top lists such as this I usually see DKC in there but never DKC2. Nice to see it the other way around for a change though I do love the original.

I do know Japan loves DK64, surprisingly.

That is surprising.

This is just a theory, but I think nostalgia usually dictates people rank DKC1 over DKC2. It's reasonable because DKC was and is a fantastic game... but I think DKC2 went even a step further.
No comment about DKC3...

I'm not sure where it came from originally. Probably a manual or guidebook, if I had to guess. I did find a complete gallery, though:
http://www.mariowiki.com/Gallery:Super_Mario_World

Just click the link, scroll down a bit, and you should find all the art there.

Thanks! I use to look at the manuals for hours just for the art. Nice collection of SMW art here.
