Tekken producer hasn't had enough time to study Switch for potential Tekken 7 port

Coming from a GameSpot interview with Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada...

"Officially, we can't really comment on that because our company has strict policy about which titles we talk about for Switch, but personally, we've been so busy with trying to master up Tekken for the current platforms that we haven't really had enough time to study the hardware. We couldn't even buy it--it was sold out every time we went to look for it."

But I'm sure you'll have enough time for Tekken X Street Fighter *wink*

Tekken 7 is made in UE4, so Switch may play IT in lower settings.

If it's Unreal engine, he can have a intern solve the problem in like 2 hours. LOL.

Also, who cares about a port of Tekken... Gives us an updated version of Pokken.

There are several characters that have been added to the arcade version and the Wii U was sub 720p.

So they don't even need to make a Pokken 2. Just release the regular Pokken with the full content of the arcade version and 1080p graphics. That should be enough to differenciate it from the Wii U version.

Or just do that, add 3 new characters and 3 new stages and call it Pokken 2... Whatever, just gives us a new Pokken.

I honestly have a sinking suspicion one of Nintendo's secret games in 2018 is going to be a Pokken "Complete." A re-release of the arcade version with all the trimmings.

Why 2018? It's the window where Japan's Pokken arcades are set to stop receiving updates.

Who cares about Tekken or Pokken when they could put Soulcalibur on the Switch with Nintendo characters.

So their Switch dev kit is collecting dust confirmed? Geez, we have some really unhappy developers out there still waiting for theirs.

I don't know that they really care too much for developing Tekken for and selling it on the Switch as they could have simply requested and recieved a Dev kit. There might be a demographic worth targeting in Switch owners but they obviously don't believe there to be.which is a shame for the people who like Tekken. Personally, if they don't develop it for the Switch it's their loss and we'll hopefully see a re-release of Pokken which in my opinion is just as good if not better.

I'm still waiting for a new Soul Calibur game Sad

Boo! I hope we at least get a new Soul Calibur game for Switch...
