Nintendo gives updated count on total employees worldwide

As of the last fiscal year report, Nintendo had 5,064 employees around the world. That info came from last year's shareholder meeting. With the latest shareholder meeting in the books, we have an update on the total. Nintendo has added a few more employees, as they now have a total of 5,166 working around the world. If you're wondering, 2,133 of them are working in Japan.

Also worth noting, as far as we can tell, Nintendo's total employees hit their peak in 2014, with 5,213 staff members around the world.

Besides Retro Studios (70+ employees) and NST (50 employees), how many non Japanese studios does Nintendo even have?
Out of the 2133 Japanese employees, they aren't all game developers either, some are non video game software guys others are hardware guys. So this strikes me as Nintendo really does not have a lot of game developers...

I'd assume these numbers reflect "1st party" employees and not "2nd party" employees as well.

This could in essence describe why Nintendo had so many game droughts during the Wii U and 3DS from a 1st party perspective.

I want to know how many of them are uncles.
