Yet another Ubisoft dev says Steep is still coming to Switch

Well here we have some more info that explains why Steep hasn't released on Switch yet. Most importantly, the game is still coming, so says the Ubisoft Montreuil dev above. He also points out that the game is currently undergoing optimization, and they are working on framerate issues. Obviously, no time frame for release was given. Thanks to Juan for the heads up!

"Congratulations! Hoping for lots more Switch projects, such as Mario x Rabbids. No news of Steep though. Cancelled?"

"No, it's still undergoing optimization. The frame rate acts like a yoyo (i.e. it goes up and down) so we can't possibly release it as is, but the game was not axed"

Peer reviewed and approved.

If they somehow manage to get that game to work on the Switch... I'll be shocked and impressed, honestly. Seems like a bit too late to do it and it would be too much for the system to handle on the same level as other versions. I hope they don't gimp it.

I'm happy they're still working on it. I'll buy it for Switch.

It should be released at a STEEP discount.
