A portion of a GamesIndustry interview with Mike Ybarra, the corporate VP of Xbox platform engineering...

"I love what Nintendo is doing with the mobility element. They are not going for the highest pixels... in fact, almost the opposite. It is funny, because Nintendo is a block from us, and so we see their employees and we talk... we complement each other more than we compete. To me, I embrace the gamer that has all the platforms, plays all the games, and the excitement that they bring."

Microsoft is usually quick to offer up compliments and kind words for the competition, and I appreciate that. I think they might be more willing to do so right now because of the uphill battle the Xbox One is facing. If Microsoft gets the Xbox brand back into the top position, it'll be interesting to see if they still sing the same tune.
