Coming from a CBC interview with Charles Martinet...

"I had never heard of Mario, I had never heard of Nintendo, and all of a sudden, there I am, doing my favorite character in the world and I have been for the last 27 years. I feel like the luckiest guy in the world. I get to do what I love to do and work with wonderful people, and then to go around the world and meet people who love the games and Mario."

Never heard of Mario or Nintendo? That's a tough pill to swallow, but I don't know Mr. Martinet to be a liar! It's obviously he's super grateful for the role and loves the fans. I'll take your word for it on this one, Mr. Martinet!

It's also worth pointing out that Mr. Martinet will be at the Edmonton Comic and Entertainment Expo, starting Sept. 21st. You can take a trip to the event and spend some time with the man himself!
