Someone is crazy enough to try and Kickstart Super Mario RPG 2

Today in projects that will never, EVER get off the ground, someone has decided to be bold enough to Kickstarter Super Mario RPG 2. This has been going on for a couple days, but I've had so many people reach out to me about it, I thought I'd share. Please, PLEASE do not donate to this Kickstarter. It's never going to happen in a million years. At least, not through some random person opening up a Kickstarter. Just enjoy the craziness of it all while it lasts! Thanks to all that sent this in.

And then they say people like us, don't know how the world works. Cringey logic.

I'm just gonna go out on a limb and assume this person is 12...

He is not really trying to kickstart anything. He is just doing a horrible attempt at scamming people.

Well look like 15 people already scammed themselves

Looking at the comments on the Kickstarter it looks like the guy doesn't even know how exactly to get this whole thing started if it actually got funded to begin with.

And now people want Nintendo to go easy on guys like him.....

Reading the FAQ, it's possible that "Super Mario RPG 2" won't have its title, characters or looks based from Nintendo in the future.

Much later, it's gonna end completely as a different game that have nothing related to Nintendo's SMRPG, except the game's function from SMRPG.

Thanks for pointing this out for people, RMC.

I’m working on a project that’s very much inspired by Paper Mario: TTYD. But come on, at least I’m not going around calling it “TTYD2”.

Aaand it's cancelled.

It got shut down but somehow the guy found out through the phone call that SMRPG2 became Paper Mario because Squaresoft left NIntendo and that's why there's nothing to be a sequel to that game in particular. You'd think those two things would be common knowledge to a major SMRPG fan

That conversation definitely happened. Yup. Totally believe him.
