Pshaw! Doom is clearly a sophisticated Shakespearean tale of the folly of hubris-- for he who seeks to harness the power of Hell for his own gain is well and truly DOOM'd indeed.

I have to ask about the use of "mature themed" when it comes to blowing the heads off of alien zombie demons... I love the game, but I would say that theme is pretty juvenile. Does the word "mature" refer to the age rating?

I think it is suppose to refer to age rating... but I do agree, this game (and many others like it) do not deserve a "mature" rating because there is nothing mature about them... R-rated maybe, but definitely not mature.

In video game critic, the word "mature" precisely refers to juvenile content. Counter intuitive ? Yes ! But it works pretty much every time.
