Capcom says Monster Hunter XX Switch sold better than expected

What were Capcom's expectations for Monster Hunter XX Switch? We don't know the exact figures, but we've learned that Capcom is quite happy with how things turned out. According to Capcom President Haruhiro Tsujimoto, the game ended up selling better than expected. Hey Capcom, you should celebrate by LOCALIZING THE DAMN GAME!

"Hey! Our Switch games are selling over expectations and our PS4/Xbox One games are flopping. Now what?"
"Let's keep making new PS4/Xbox One games and put minimal effort into the Switch!"
"Brilliant! Considering we HATE money and want our company to more or less tank that is an excellent strategy!"
"Konami would be SO proud of us!"

Quite low obviously. Probably the same with USF2. And those are ports! Imagine an actual new game. Having Capcom games on Nintendo systems is like brain surgery for them.

the fact that HE is annoyed speak volumes really...

What/who is HE???

20 characters...

enraged RMC - VERY rare sight

OK thx ;)

20 characters...

What a terrible way to boost post count (more than 20 characters)

And all that for a make up title that means nothing.

"Good thing our quick cash-in titles on Switch are helping fund our big Sony co-funded PS4 endeavors even though they sell like crap! Nintendo fans are the best!"

Pretty much... like in the Wii/DS era where quick buck casual games would sell millions, for them to spend that money on super expensive HD games for PS360...

At this point its too late to localize it. World is on the horizon, wasting time on a localization that would muddle the message of World is not what Capcom wants.

I wonder how many of those sales are imports (like mine was)

In retrospect, we should have seen this coming when Capcom rebranded their official slogan to 'We hate money and ourselves!'

Whoa whoa, they don't want to make too much money!

Come on internet you're better than that. Capcom did NOT get us on our knees begging for a PORT of a freakin three billion years old 3DS game.

Keep your XX monster collection out of Europe thanks. Collect whatever scraps you'll gather from MHW and bring MH5 where it belongs.

So perhaps there will be some Nintendo related surprises.

Imagine how well Monster Hunter World would sell if it released on the Switch. Make it happen, Capcom, and perhaps all will be forgiven.

You have MH XX, it's called Monster Hunter Generations. It isn't the enhanced version, but the same core game. I'd rather take a brand new game like World on the PS4 or MH5/6 on the Switch with the style of World over XX, since it seems pretty basic as far as MH games go. After seeing how World looks, I don't ever want to try any of the older MH games outside of Stories if the digital version goes on sale since the art style looks horrid in comparison to those two games, IMO

Well, it's their loss for thinking it wouldn't sell well on Switch in North America... I'm just gonna get Monster Hunter World instead...
