The Pokemon Run Carnival seems like it was a disaster

A few weeks back, we shared details on the Pokemon Run Carnival. It was an event in Taipei that offered a 3KM run, game booths, and various food items. Plenty of people signed up for the event, but unfortunately, it seems like it turned out to be quite the mess.

Apparently most people who attended spent ridiculously long times standing in line. They were simply lining up to try and gain access to the event, as well as some of the booths. Wait time for some booths was over an hour long. People ended up standing around so much that their legs were tired from being in line, rather than running! On top of that, nearly every booth was low on merch, leaving people standing around to be disappointed yet again.

Avex Taiwan, the event organizers, have officially apologized for the event's issues. It seems that a QR code registration system was the culprit for much of the event's problems, which bogged down the entire day. As an apology, Avex Taiwan is working to give event attendees the exclusive Pokemon Run Carnival tumbler seen below.
