I’m really surprised people keep wanting Tales games.

Their last game, Tales of Berseria was really good. I get it that the games between Graces f and Berseria weren't as good, though.

Yeah, that’s what I mean. The series is so inconsistent but yet it keeps trucking along anyway. Personally I got tired of getting stung by the crappy ones.

and no monster hunter? that's a surprise.

It's sad that the internet ruined a perfectly innocent character. Like I know this is off-topic, but I really despise "The Villager" meme.

How is it ruined for you? Do you care about internet memes to the point you let it ruin what you like? I say, don't. Let the internet do its own crazy thing and only care about what you like yourself

Any attempt to turn AC dark or gory is upsetting to me. I know the reasonable thing is to ignore it, but I become obsessive with things like this...especially this in fact because AC is like my happy place. I'd like to enjoy AC without people wanting them to put actual references to the villager meme in the games, and I'd like to draw pictures of the basic smash villager without people bringing up said stupid meme. Plus I just generally hate it when memes becomes so popular that you can't unattach them from the series they're from. Like for instance the stupid Ben Drowned nonsense.

Hm, I understand. I just wish it wouldn't affect you like this, because it's sadly not something anyone can do anything about.

I don't know what the "Ben Drowned" stuff is, though. Never heard of it

"Ben Drowned" is a creepypasta made about Majora's Mask. Creepypastas themselves are stupid, but this one was a whole new level of dumb. Anyways it became so popular at one point that it essentially became part of MM to some people, to such an extent that they wanted Nintendo to reference it in MM3D and were disappointed when they didn't. The same thing happened in the Welcome Amiibo update when people were disappointed that the Villager amiibo didn't summon "him" (as in the never-gonna-ever-be-canon meme version.)

I mean, I try to accept that you can't control what people do or what they like, and all that, but I'm still offended by it.

Ugh, I hate it when people wish memes and such were in games. I do think they have their place on the internet, but in actual professional media, no. It reminds me of a game developer company who actually incorporates memes into their games, and even references to specific fans. Naturally, the people who get referenced are the most obnoxious ones, because they're the most noticeable among the community. I absolutely hate it

Which game company are you talking? Which one actually references memes?

Hi-Rez. I used to be a huge fan of one of their games: Paladins. But some of the characters in their reference memes, and one of the latest voice packs for a character references a fan who has a bit of an unhealthy obsession with tails.

(I don't have anything against people with tail fetishes, but he literally talks about nothing but tails. He wants everything to have tails, etc.)

20. A new Rhythm Heaven - 36 votes
9. A new Mario Party - 62 votes

given the fact that their latest installments have the "best of" plastered all over it, it is safe to say the teams are creatively bankrupt.

2. A new Smash Bros. - 205 votes

new meaning old with all DLC and maybe the 3DS quest mode (actually cross that last one out) it will happen and the added value of the dlc is enough for most people who did not spend that additional 50-60eu.

8. The new Kirby - 65 votes

triple deluxe/robobot are great, the last one not so much and there is a new one coming...surprised they do not feel the fatigue...nah, they have not played ALL the past kirby games yet.

5. A new Final Fantasy - 112 votes
4. The new Fire Emblem - 125 votes
3. The new Pokemon - 163 votes

because we don't have enough of them no...

1. A new Animal Crossing - 214 votes

there is a very good and substantial update on new leaf. Have you tried that one? Do you REALLY want to collect all fish and bugs again? I did it 4 times now I am ok for the next couple of years at least (I pretend the mobile game does not exist also)

It seems some people just vote based on some passing interest of a franchise and not played past games enough.

I think Animal Crossing needs the same radical new direction treatment that Zelda got. And maybe that's what's influencing these people's votes... the potential. I can think of over a dozen good changes to freshen up Animal Crossing, just off the top of my head.

I think that they mean a new Story of seasons, because Harvest moon is now a western thing. They did not have to change the name and they never got the games we call Harvest Moon.

They say Japan doesn't love Metroid as much and they weren't kidding. Metroid Prime 4 couldn't even make a top 20?

For whatever reason, Japanese people are more likely to experience motion sickness from FPS's too, all but murdering the Prime series popularity in Japan. Splatoon actually managed to find a way around this which is why both games have been stupidly popular there.

wow that's wild I never knew that. Makes sense though.

Seems like Japan, US, and Europe fans all share the same 3 top picks. We know Pokemon is coming....so where's the other 2 Nintendo?

Man, I do not relate to the aggregated opinions of a bunch of randomly-selected Japanese people at all.

But you cared enough to express said opinion that you clicked on the article you didn't care about at all and took the time to type this out? =P

"But you cared enough to express said opinion that you clicked on the article you didn't care about at all"

My post does not say what you apparently think it says, lol.

I must've been drunk or something... I could've sworn it said "care about" and not "relate to", and it's rare for me to make mistakes like that... Huh...

Surprised Dragon Quest XI is not in there, but I guess it's because they already know that it's coming?
